Greenpeace

Greenpeace is one of the world’s most respected and dynamic organizations, is an international non-profit global campaigning organization that acts to ensure the ability of Earth to nurture life in all its diversity.  At the heart of Greenpeace’s campaigns is the tradition of non-violent, direct action against environmental abuse and destruction.

Greenpeace exists because this fragile earth deserves a voice. It needs solutions. It needs change. It needs action.

Currently we are seeking a *Oceans Campaigner.*

Reporting to Program Manager, the *Oceans Campaigner* will responsible to :

1. In conjunction with the Program Manager, develop and implement campaign work and projects in line with both short and long term goals for the ocean campaign based on national and international objectives and including
detailed strategy, activities, timelines and budgets.

2. Assist the Program Manager in the designing and implementation of strategies to educate and mobilize various targeted constituencies and the general public about oceans issues and Greenpeace goals.

3. Direct, organize and participate in non-violent direct action to support and advance campaign goals and organization objectives.

4. Perform other job-related duties in country as requested or assigned by the assigned line manager in coordination with the Head of the Oceans Campaign and/or or nominated alternative.

5. Specific work-plans will be amended each year

*Qualification :*

• BA or BS degree preferred or equivalent experience

• Excellent networking skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of organizations and communities

• Excellent strategic skills in analyzing and planning strategies for the Oceans campaign in Indonesia and demonstrated experience in these areas.

• Knowledge of the main environmental and social issues relating to ocean and its impacts

• Excellent spoken and written Bahasa Indonesia and able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.

• Demonstrated experience in an environmental/activist organization (work on Ocean is preferred).

• Proven ability to work both independently and in close coordination with a team.

• Proven experience in directing a project from conception to completion.

• Preferred skills include experience in key program areas: public speaking, activist training, strategic planning and organizing people around an issue.

• Commitment to the ideals of Greenpeace.
